FAQs

Physical Therapy FAQs

Are you receiving physical therapy treatment for the first time and not sure what to expect? Here are some answers to our most frequently asked physical therapy questions.

What Should I Wear to Physical Therapy?

RPT asks that you wear loose, comfortable clothing that gives our therapists access to the area being treated. Our exercise specialists will walk you through a series of therapeutic stretches and strengthening exercises at each appointment.

How Long Will My Physical Therapy Appointment Last?

Our initial evaluation appointments include injury assessments and can be quite extensive, so we ask that you plan for approximately 90 minutes for your first appointment. Follow-up appointments usually take 45 minutes to an hour.

What Should I Bring To My First Physical Therapy Appointment?

We ask that you bring a government issued photo ID along with your insurance card(s). If you have any physician’s orders or postoperative protocols, we ask that you bring those with you as well.

How Much Does Physical Therapy Cost?

The cost of therapy will vary based on your insurance benefitsAs a courtesy to our patients, we ask for your insurance information when scheduling your first appointment so we can reach out to get an estimate of benefits from them, which we will then review with you at your first appointment. If you have coverage-specific questions, please contact your individual insurance provider. If you do not have health insurance, we also have reasonable cash pay rates! We also accept CareCredit at all of our locations.
